Gillian is a life-long Greater Vancouver resident who grew up in South Delta. She recently completed her first year of law school at the University of British Columbia, where she served as an Academic Representative for the Allard Law Student Society. She is currently the Communications Director for the UBC Environmental Law Group. As a summer student at Stirling LLP, Gillian is eager to learn about the laws that govern land use, real estate, natural resources, and energy in British Columbia.
Prior to beginning her studies in law, Gillian completed an Honours BSc and MSc at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. During this time she spent three summers studying the carbon cycle and hydrology in the High Arctic. Gillian subsequently worked in environmental consulting with a focus on water resources in the oil and gas industry.
In her spare time, Gillian can be found training for her next half-marathon, trying out a new recipe, or exploring BC’s great outdoors.
