ZACHARY TNG
About Zach
Zach was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. He attended high school and university in Ontario before moving to British Columbia for law school. Prior to joining Stirling in 2024, Zach completed his articles at a mid-size, multi-service firm in Vancouver.
During law school, Zach completed a co-op term at the Yukon Department of Justice in Whitehorse and worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Victoria Faculty of Law. He further consolidated his legal education by volunteering with Access to Justice BC and the University of Victoria Indigenous Legal Research Unit, as well as by providing free legal information to community members through the University of Victoria Business Law Clinic.

Zach has broad experience in all of the firm’s core practice areas, with a focus on real estate matters.
Conveyancing
- Regularly advises clients on all matters pertaining to the acquisition, financing, and sale of residential and commercial properties.
Lending
- Regularly acts for a not-for-profit society regarding secured financing matters and mortgage takeouts in British Columbia.
- Preparation, review, negotiation, and registration of security documents.
Leasing
- Acted for a commercial landlord regarding the leases of multiple parcels of industrial land
- Preparation, review, and negotiation of lease agreements and related documents.
Crane Swing Easement Agreements
- Preparation, review, negotiation, and registration of crane swing and underpinning easement agreements and related documents.
Education
Zach obtained his Bachelor of Arts (with distinction) from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson) and his Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria in 2022. He was called to the Bar in British Columbia in 2023.
Personal
Outside of work, you’ll find Zach running on the Seawall, exploring Vancouver’s food scene, or hiking somewhere along the Sea-to-Sky.
